Cupcake Ride Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas

by happy d on December 20th, 2012

Most online guaranteed Christmas shipping dates have passed now.

Are you still struggling to find something for that bikey friend of yours? Have no fear, I’ve round up a few things don’t require you have an item shipped right away or have you step foot inside a store.

BÖIKZMÖIND
A 30 minute documentary that you can download in 720p HD, about riding fixed in Bristol, England.

Kickstand Cyclery Comic Books

Pledge Kickstand Cyclery on Kickstarter and receive one or all of the Kickstand Cyclery Comic Books once they go to print in February.

Taking the Lane

The nineth edition of Taking the Lane is out and if you pledge on Kickstarter you can get your copy of the zine or even get a subscription for the year!

Momentum Mag

Momentum Magazine is having a holiday subscription drive. Why not get your friend AND yourself a subscription?

If you want to be risky and give a gift that hasn’t been fully funded yet, I thought this was kind of cool:

The Bag Buddy

If your friend likes keeping their bike minimal and rides without a basket or panniers but still likes doing utilitarian stuff then The Bag Buddy could be a good gift. I say ‘could’ because it looks like you need to balance 2 bags onto a Bag Buddy at a time but you don’t necessarily come out of a shop with 2 shopping bags.

If you still want something more tangible in the hands of your gift recipient, many of the local bike shops have already started their end of season sales!

In Toronto, HoopDriver, Urbane Cyclist, Curbside, to name a few, have discounts on bikes and parts!

  1. I wonder if those bag buddies would fit on a Bixi handlebar. I often find myself trying to balance my purse because I already have a bag in the basket. Hmmm.

    • Oh, and I was thinking that you can probably put the two handles on either side if that’s what’s needed to balance it.

Why of course!! One bag handle on each hook!

…. if you are interested in this project, you might want to pledge them soon. I’m not sure if he’s going to meet his target!
