YAY! The bike corral has returned to Kensington Market!!
Now if they can provide another corral for the southern part of the neighbourhood (on Kensington Ave by Essence of Life or that tofu store) it would be amazingly perfect.
I was so excited when saw this dandyhorse in Kensington Market at one of the vintage stores on Kensington Avenue.

Sorry gents! This ride is for girls only!
Several weeks ago, I had the pleasure of taking a couple of my Vancouver friends (plus two of their friends that live in Toronto) on a personal Cupcake tour. My friends Jenn and Jeff are bike commuters and ride their bikes everywhere in Vancouver. Needless to say, I was a bit self-conscious about Toronto’s road conditions (pot holes get filled quickly and neatly on the westcoast) and lack of bike infrastructure (no need to delve further on this point!).
I didn’t really have to worry, though. Bixis seem to bring smiles to all that ride them! And with that, we went straight to Dlish for our first stop.
Our second stop was in Kensington Market, where we serendipitously arrived as Pedestrian Sundays started! We never ended going to our third cupcake stop because we stuffed our faces with gourmet ceviche, empanadas, grilled sardines and plantains.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of photos of our Kensington Market gastro adventure because I was too busy eating!
Thanks for coming out and biking around Toronto with me Jenn, Jeff, Brianne and Pam!
